The Bible, (or the scriptures) Old and New Testament, is a divine revelation, the original autographs of which were verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit ( 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21) It is the Word of God and the ultimate and final authority in matters and affairs of the church and as it relates to the world. The Old Testament was God’s Covenant with The children of Israel and paves the way for the New Testament. The New Testament is God’s commandments and covenant for and with the church.
God is a Person who has revealed Himself in unity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit - three Persons (Matthew 28:19 mathematically a trinity) (John 1:1-3) and yet one God (Deuteronomy 6:5; 1 Corinthians 8:6) Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, which is to say, He is Himself very God; He took upon himself our nature, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary; He died upon the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the whole world; He arose from the dead in the body in which He was crucified; He ascended into Heaven in that glorified body, where He is now our interceding High Priest; He will come again personally and visibly to set up His kingdom and to judge the quick and the dead (Colossians 1:15, Philippians 2:5-8; Matthew 1:18-25; 1 Peter 2:24-25; Luke 24; Hebrews 4:14-16; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 11:15-17; 20:4-6, 11-15)
Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin, and is lost; this is true of all men, and except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God; salvation is by grace through faith in Christ who His own self bore our sins in His own body on the cross; the retribution of the wicked and unbelieving and the reward of the righteous are everlasting; Just as the righteous are in a state of consciousness beyond death and in the hereafter so are the wicked and unbelievers. (Luke 16:19-31) Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 3:10, John 3:3, Acts 13:38-39, John 3:16, Matthew 24:26, 2 Corinthians 5:1, 2Thessalonians 1:7-10.
The Scriptures are very clear regarding the role of the man and the role of the woman in the family and the church. The Scriptures are very clear how a family is defined and that marriage is between a man and a woman. The Scriptures are very clear that homosexuality is sin and an abomination. Regarding the role of the man and the woman, the Word of God teaches and commands that the man is to lead and be in positions of authority, especially in the church and in the family, and the woman is to submit. The biblical qualifications for leadership in the church are directed toward the man. It is therefore clear that the Biblical office of pastor or bishop/elder was gender specific and should be limited to the man. Women are to be in ministry (they have a high calling), but are prohibited by Scripture from occupying those offices or any position within the church that would allow them to teach or exercise authority (usurp) over the man 1 Timothy 2:12. Galatians 3:28 neither, Jew, Greek, Bond, Free, Male, Female has to do with salvation, God's love, and His accessibility. God is no respecter of persons; therefore, this verse is not changing the role of the male and what their qualifications are. God does not lead anyone, male or female, to contradict His own written infallible, inerrant, living Word; which is the final authority for Godly living, and God's will; regardless of a man or woman's claims. Let God be true and every man a liar (Romans 3:4). Scripture has defined and commanded men are to be leaders and teach in the church, and woman are to teach younger woman and children.
